The Coventry PEACE Park Project
Heights Tree People, in partnership with Heights Libraries, was recently awarded a Cuyahoga County Healthy Urban Tree Canopy (HUTC) Grant to plant 30 trees on the Coventry P.E.A.C.E. Park grounds.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to increase tree canopy in Cleveland Heights. Our project will be completed with primarily volunteer labor, guided by professional foresters.
This August, we are looking for volunteers to help spread mulch to prepare the ground for planting. Starting in mid-September, we are looking for volunteers to help our tree stewards plant trees. We also need people to help us prepare and place the cages to protect the young trees, water the newly planted trees, and other types of assistance. (And it’s amazing exercise!)
Volunteer Dates:
MULCH DAY 1 - Sunday, August 24: 1:00 - 4:00pm
MULCH DAY 2 - Sunday, August 31: 1:00 - 4:00pm
