Heights Tree People will select one winning block in Cleveland Heights and one in University Heights for priority planting. Blocks are evaluated using a clear scoring rubric designed to ensure trees are planted where they will thrive and provide the greatest community benefit.
Selection criteria include:
Existing canopy need and environmental benefit
Level of neighbor participation and block cohesion
Commitment to long-term care and stewardship
Practical feasibility of planting multiple trees efficiently
Visibility and potential to inspire nearby streets
